Writer(s)*
Have the itch to do some creative writing, interviewing and networking? Need a platform to share your writing and hard work? Send an email describing what you would like to write about and we will be sure to get back to you with feedback and instructions for appropriate next steps. Writers (in the Ottawa/Gatineau/GTA region) have access to photographers and videographers to create multimedia posts (videos, photos, podcasts etc.) but we also encourage written features such as creative writing, poetry, and essays.

Check out Stories for the type of work we like and encourage featuring.

City Guides*
There’s nothing more exciting than prepping for a trip to a foreign city, scouring the internet and flipping through travel books to find all the best places to see on your holiday. I don’t think I’m alone here when I say I go beyond just researching the standard trip advisor sites for the best places to see, I really do my research for where the locals go – doing my best to find the hidden gems. Let’s celebrate some of the local businesses, restaurants, galleries, spaces in your community run (predominantly run by women).

Check out Touring Toronto with Pam Lau and Explore Hamilton.

Music Curator*
With each season brings a new theme to Normale. As a platform and publication that strives to celebrate women working in all creative industries – let’s take a moment to celebrate those working in music. Are you always trying to find the next new popular artist and sharing with your friends? Well, you’re just what we’re looking for! We need a music guru that can curate a themed playlist each season to post on our website for all our subscribers and readers to listen to all year long.
